Beautiful vintage wooden tabletop book stand or lectern, made in Spain, featuring an ornate European-inspired design with decorative floral metal accents.

The stand features a rich, warm wood finish with visible grain and character, a substantial rectangular base with stepped decorative molding, and an open rectangular book support accented with floral rosettes and an elongated botanical ornament at the top.

The hinged easel-style construction includes an adjustable rear support and a shaped wooden ledge designed to hold and display books at any of 3 angles. The decorative metal fittings provide an elegant contrast against the warm wood.

An attractive and functional piece, ideal for displaying antique books, Bibles, cookbooks, sheet music, or other treasured volumes. Equally suited to a traditional library, study, kitchen, or vintage-inspired interior.

Original underside label reads “MADE IN SPAIN 4962”. Rubber feet underneath.

Measures 16 1/2” lengrh x 12” wide x 10” tall.

CONDITION:

Excellent, vintage pre-owned condition. Some wear from age. Because it doesn’t fold up, it has taken some pressure over the years and can use a bit of tightening of nails at the holder ledge, as seen in photos. See all photos for details.
