This is a complete and original edition of the final issue of the Evening Chronicle newspaper (Morning Call), including a Sunday Call slip that states that this is the souvenir of the final edition, stored in original plastic like new.

Measures 23” x 14 1/2”.

This paper was part of the Allentown Morning Call / Evening Chronicle newspaper pair with the Morning Call being publishing in the morning and the Chronicle in the evening; hence the name. The Chronicle ceased operations on the above date with this final edition paper. The '30 was used in teletype messages to signify the end of transmission of news articles and is used on the cover of this paper in the same light. Several articles describe the operation and the decision to shut down the evening edition of the paper. There are a total of 4 sections & 62 pages in this newspaper which include many more articles other than the shut down of the paper, e.g. sports, classified, local news, world news, etc with many ads.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage, like new, preowned condition. Some discoloration from age. Complete, with clean pages. Small fold to corner. Plastic sleeve has yellowing and some tears from storage over the years. See photos for details.
