Vintage paper sign from Wall Township, NJ with Civil Defense Instructions for emergencies, including tuning the radio to CONELRAD 640 or 1240 to listen for “Alert” or “Take Cover” depending on the long or broken tone.
CONELRAD was the system of emergency broadcasting to the public of the United States in the event of enemy attack during the Cold War. This method was in place from 1951-1963.
CONDITION:
Good vintage, used condition. Staining and discoloration throughout. Bumps to corners. See photos for details.
