The image is a black-and-white gelatin silver print of a water lily on still water, surrounded by lily pads.

Measures 9 3/4” x 7 3/4”.

Back is inscribed and signed “Ton souvenir de la saison 1939–40 au Pavillon Belge, N.Y. World’s Fair.

Meilleures amitiés” with signature (Hegglin or Heyglin?)

This photograph is representative of the decorative and artistic works often produced by European pavilion artists during the Fair’s cultural exhibitions. It is an original print on period fiber-based photographic paper, lightly curled as expected with 1930’s silver printing.
