MAN WITH SEAL

Great carved soap stone depiction of an eskimo man capturing a seal. You can see the mans arms and legs wrapped around the seals body and fins over a rocky base.

All carved from one piece, with a smooth surface, a scratching technique was used to make the bottom and details look white.

Measures 7” long x 5 1/2” wide, and stands 5 1/2” tall.

Weighs 7 pounds & 9 ounces.

Some letters and symbols carved underneath, hard to read.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage pre-owned condition, with some rough spots and scratches to surface. Some small chips to man’s hat and face. See photos for details.
