This letter opener is from the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. The design is based on the original sundial, a limestone disk found in 1954 at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered; that was used by the sectarian community who lived at Qumran, by the Dead Sea.

Measures 5 1/4” long.

Circle measures 1 1/2” across.

Marked on reverse with “IMP” & logo.
