This is a stereoview card, also know as a stereograph or stereoscope card. It was one of the first forms of 3D photography. The images were captured with a special 2 lens camera. The 2 nearly identical pictures were then mounted next to each other. The image then could be viewed through a Stereoscope, stereopticon, or televiewer device.

Measures 8” x 4 1/2”.

Marked “Copyright 1897, by B. L. Singley”.

CONDITION:

Excellent, antique condition. Edge wear, with slight curve to card. Discoloration from age. See photos for details.
