This is an original 1st edition of “Les Contes De Jacques Tournebroche” and includes chromolithograph illuminated illustrations by Leon Lebegue. This book is a collection of short stories written in French by Anatole France.
“Anatole France” was the pen name of Jacques Anatole Francois Thibault, who was born in Paris in 1844. He was a French poet, journalist, and novelist with several best-sellers. He was a member of the Académie française, and won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Literature.
