Leather Bound Notepad w/ Gilded Page Edges

This is an antique 1908 advertising commerce notepad of Dry Goods and Notions from the Arbuthnot-Stephenson Co. from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This company sold various textiles, including carpets, linoleums, oil cloths, traveling bags, men’s/women’s/children’s clothing, furnishings, embroideries, window accessories, and more.

Illustrated graphics of company building with info for customers on first few pages. Mostly filled with blank grid notepad pages. “This book is the property of W.W. Hegarty” inscribed on first written page, with various notes and ledgers of textiles and prices on some pages throughout. Most pages are blank. Toward the end, there are more printed pages with 1908 calendar included on one page, and directories of various departments within the company, company building locations, and local hotels.

Measures 3” x 6”, with gilded page edges.

Gilded company name stamped on front.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage, preowned condition. Spine is split and has some tears in it. Slight soiling / discoloration from age. Mostly blank pages, with some notes written on pages throughout. Slight stains on page edges throughout. See photos for details.
