Lawyer Notice Card for Civil War Soldiers & Sailors

This is an antique, original card issued by lawyer WM. M. Hargest to give notice to discharged soldiers of the Civil War, and their families, that they are entitled to support and pensions under the new Civil War Pensions Act of June, 1890.
Measures 3” x 5 1/4”.
Text reads:
“Honorably discharged SOLDIERS and SAILORS of the
late war, who are in any way disabled; widows of soldiers, (re-gardless of time or cause of death or time of marriage;) CHILD-REN under sixteen, FATHERS and MOTHERS of deceased soldiers, who are dependent upon themselves for support are en-titled to a pension under the new law of June, 1890.

CONDITION:
Good antique, preowned condition. Piece missing from bottom left corner. Tears at edges and corners. Dirty with stains throughout, but able to be read. Small hole towards bottom right corner. See photos for details.
