This is a rare six panel advertising herald (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the 1939 Broadway engagement of the D'Oyly Carte GILBERT and SULLIVAN Opera Company of London at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, March 13-April 1, 1939.
The theee-week engagement included performances of "IOLANTHE" (or "The Peer and the Peri"), "THE MIKADO" (or "The Town of Titipu"), "THE YEOMEN OF THE GUARD", "THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE", "H. M. S.
