This is an original, vintage menu from Mainelli’s Restaurant in Providence, Rhode Island.

There is a BALLANTINE’S ALE Advertising menu sheet featuring Mainelli’s “Friday Menu” on reverse, fastened inside with an old paperclip.

The front cover features “Mainelli’s Restaurant” at top with photographic image of the restaurant with address and phone number underneath, and “Owned and Operated by MIELE BROTHERS” at bottom.

Inside is 2 pages of food options, with the Special Friday Menu Ballantine’s sheet paper clipped on the left side.

The most expensive thing on the menu is Broiled Tenderloin Steak “Special Dinner” with appetizer, soup, salad, side, dessert, and coffee, for $2.75!

Many italian dishes like Spaghetti & Veal Cutlet for $0.95!

Also, sandwiches like a hamburger for 25 cents!

The back of the menu has a Wine $ Liquors list with all drinks 70 cents or less! A bottle of Ballantine Ale was 30 cents!

Measures 11” x 8 1/2” closed.

This restaurant was around for many decades, and appeared on the Restaurant Impossible TV show in 2011. Mainelli’s has since closed, ending the long legacy that the Miele Brothers started back at the time if this menu.
