This is an original, antique Diploma from New Britain High School in New Britain, CT from 1880.

It was presented to Mary Anne Tormay for her graduation.

Original antique wood frame with line design and brass inlay, and original glass.

Signed twice by Charles Northend (Author, Educator, Superintendent) as Secretary and Acting Visitor.

Also Signed by J. N. Bartlett, the Chairman; and J. H. Peck, the Principal

Frame measures 20 1/4” wide x 17 1/2” tall.

Diploma measures 16” x 13”.

CONDITION:

Excellent condition, in original antique wood frame. Some oxidation spots to paper, but well preserved over time behind glass. See photos for details.
