This is an original vintage 1944 menu used at The Famous Anchor Sea Food House that was located in New York City.

Front features great print illuatration of sailor with anchor and lobster on the beach and has “THE FAMOUS ANCHOR SEA FOOD HOUSE” text logo.

Great typography, colors, and graphics inside this menu for different section headlines on 2 pages.

Dated on inserted “specials” card “Wednesday, May 17, 1944”.

Back has the wine list with many drink selections in sections. Name and address and telephone at the bottom. “Designed by THE BLACKSTONE COMPANY, New York” at bottom corner as well.

Measures 13” x 10” closed.

CONDITION:

Excellent vintage used condition. Some staining and discoloration from age and use. A tear to top edge of back where specials were clipped inside.
