Jack Sparling, also known as John Edmond Sparling, was a Canadian comic artist born in 1916. His career started as a gag cartoonist for the New Orleans Item-Tribune, and from there he went on to help create the United Feature Syndicate comic strip “Hap Hopper, Washington Correspondent” with writer William Laas. His notable works include comic strips “Claire Voyant” and “Tiger Girl”. He also worked on various comic book series at DC Comics. Jack Sparling passed away in 1997.
CONDITION:
Excellent, vintage condition. Some wear to edges. Slight tears at fold marks. Otherwise clean and well preserved. See photos for details.
